Biography

Dr. Lipkin completed a B.A. in Biology at New York University College of Arts and Sciences. She received an M.D. degree in 2004 at the Sackler Medical School New York State American Program, Tel Aviv University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at North Shore Hospital, in Manhasset, NY, where she was academic chief resident. Dr. Lipkin has pursued advanced training laparoscopy and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Her clinical research focuses on these areas of expertise. She recently published a textbook: The Comprehensive Pocket Atlas of Hysteroscopy. She was also honored by the AAGL award for Special Excellence in Laparoscopic Procedures. Prior to joining Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) as Assistant Clinical Professor, she was a member of the clinical faculty at Maimonides Medical Center in her native Brooklyn, NY, practicing as a general OB/GYN. At CUMC, she continues to practice and study advanced gynecologic laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery. She is also involved in resident and medical student education at Columbia. Dr. Lipkin speaks Russian, Spanish and Hebrew.
