In addition, a housing allowance of $3,000 is given to each resident every year to defray the cost of living in New York.
Vacation
Residents receive four weeks of vacation each year, which are generally taken one week at a time.
Educational Benefits
Each resident is sponsored to attend one national conference during the course of their training.
Medical Benefits
Residents participate in NewYork Presbyterian Hospital's Flexability Benefits Program. The program allows residents to choose from a variety of benefit plans covering healthcare, dental care, life insurance, and disability protection to customize their personal benefits.
Professional liability coverage is provided by the hospital.
