Services
Our fellowship-trained physicians offer a complete range of care for the management of pelvic floor disease. This includes both surgical and conservative therapies for prolapse of the uterus and vaginal walls, urinary and fecal incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, including pain initiated in the bladder such as that caused by interstitial cystitis, abnormal uterine bleeding, and the treatment of fibroids. For those patients requiring surgery, the majority of our procedures are completed in a minimally invasive manner involving operating either through the vagina or laparoscopically (through tiny abdominal incisions using a camera) in order to achieve maximum success and minimal discomfort. Urodynamic Testing: This is used primarily for diagnostic purposes to obtain a better understanding of how a patient's bladder is working. It allows the physicians to determine the most appropriate course of treatment based on the conditions that are found. Some of the common types of tests performed with Urodynamics are:
Routine Gynecology: Our physicians and the nurse practitioner also treat patients in need of routine gynecologic care, patients needing annual PAP tests, routine medical care, etc. Our physicians are also performing Colposcopy and LEEP procedures in follow up to an abnormal PAP result. Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgical Procedures: We specialize in innovative surgical procedures including advanced laparoscopic procedures as well as state-of-the-art robotic surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System. These minimally invasive techniques will decrease recovery time, scarring, pain and risk of infection. For additional information please see the da Vinci website. |
