Columbia University brings the resources of Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital to Montclair with a new Maternal Fetal Medicine practice. High risk specialists at this new facility provide a full array of services for managing high risk pregnancies and screening for low risk pregnancies. They are available for consultation, co-managing care with your primary obstetrician or, when necessary, complete management of the highest risk pregnancies.
The practice is fully staffed with two high risk physicians, a nurse practitioner care coordinator, and a certified ultrasound technician.
Services include:
- Expert care for high risk patients
- Obstetrical and Gynecological Ultrasound
- Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) and Amniocentesis
- Screening for low-risk pregnancies
Patients will have direct access to all of the subspecialty resources the New York Presbyterian network has to offer including the world renowned NICU at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and the Center for Prenatal Pediatrics which provides coordinated multidisciplinary care for pregnancies with a diagnosis of a fetal anomaly.
Location/Directions
Maternal Fetal Medicine in Montclair is located in the New Jersey Center for Healthy Living. There is a private parking lot for the building as well as additional parking in the immediate area. The Center is a brief walk or quick ride from the Bay Street train station (Midtown Direct). There is a bus stop outside the door and a taxi cab stand directly across the street at Lackawanna Plaza. Once you arrive at 292 Bloomfield Avenue, take the elevator to the second floor and we will be there to greet you. Click here for map.
From Route 3 Westbound
Exit Grove Street (to Montclair) left onto Grove Street. Approximately 5 miles to Bloomfield Avenue. Turn right onto Bloomfield Avenue. Alliance parking lot entrance is on left immediately after the Exxon Gas station entrance. Enter building through the door facing the parking lot.
From Northern New Jersey
Take the Garden State Parkway South to exit 154 (Route 46 Clifton/Grove Street exit). Stay right on exit ramp (follow signs for Grove Street). Turn left onto Grove Street. Approximately 5 miles to Bloomfield Avenue. Turn right onto Bloomfield Avenue. Alliance parking lot entrance is on left immediately after the Exxon Gas station entrance. Enter building through the door facing the parking lot.
From Southern New Jersey
Take the Garden State Parkway North to exit 153B (Route 3 Westbound exit - on left side of highway). Follow directions for Route 3 Westbound above.
From Route 280 (East or West)
Take Route 280 to exit 8B (Mt. Prospect Road - towards Cedar Grove). Go approximately 2.2 miles to Bloomfield Avenue. Make a right onto Bloomfield Avenue. Go through two lights and continue on Bloomfield Avenue down the hill into the Montclair business district. Look for the light at the intersection of Gates Avenue. Continue through light and make a right into the first parking lot.
From Route 80 (East or West)
Take Route 80 to the Garden State Parkway South exit. Follow directions from Northern New Jersey above.
