Our Family Planning physicians work with patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering routine gynecologic care and counseling, to care and management of patients with complex health conditions.
We offer women the full range of contraceptive services, from emergency contraception to long-term, reversible solutions–the patch, vaginal ring, intrauterine devices (IUDs) and permanent solutions such as tubal ligation. We work with patients to explore contraceptive methods that best meet individual needs. Our physicians educate patients about family planning options, prevention of pregnancy and disease.
We provide medical and surgical management of miscarriage, as well as medical and surgical pregnancy termination. Our physicians work closely with high-risk obstetrical specialists (Maternal-Fetal Medicine experts) and The Center for Prenatal Pediatrics when a fetus is identified with abnormalities.
Our physicians conduct clinical trials to investigate novel forms of contraception, improve access to contraception and evaluate effectiveness of birth control for patients with serious medical conditions.
