Patients We Treat
Our gynecologic experts offer patients well-woman and preventive care, to meet women’s changing health care needs, as they move through their reproductive years to menopause. Our gynecologists have special training to treat conditions including hormonal disorders that affect the reproductive organs: vulva, vagina, cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus. Our medical staff provides a full-range of gynecological care options, exploring the non-surgical and surgical treatments available for individual patients. Some of the conditions we treat may include investigating abnormal Pap smears, sexually transmitted diseases, pain in the pelvis or urethra.
All of our physicians hold academic appointments at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons and have completed an accredited residency training program. Many have completed sub-specialty training in infertility, urogynecology, laparoscopic surgery and gynecologic oncology. We work closely with specialists throughout the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center (NYP-CUMC) to coordinate your care, if necessary.
All of our doctors are members of Columbia University’s faculty, who are board certified in OB/GYN. Many hold additional board certifications in specialty areas. The standard of excellence our physicians bring to patient care matches the standards they have established in medical student education and world class academic research. US News & World Report ranks Columbia’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University’s Medical School, in the top 10 nationally for Women’s Health and for Research.
Part of the vibrant medical community, our doctors and patients benefit from NYP-CUMC’s facilities and expertise in patient care, collaboration with cutting edge medical researchers, clinicians and multidisciplinary specialists. NYP is consistently ranked #1 in New York City and on the Honor Roll nationally, and in the top ten for gynecology in US News and World Report’s 2011-2012 survey.
Our gynecologists practice at several locations throughout the New York metropolitan area and beyond: Midtown, Columbus Circle, an Uptown CUMC location, the Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at NYP Lawrence Hospital in Westchester, and a ColumbiaDoctors Scarsdale practice, making regular gynecological care convenient and accessible.
