1 Train Service Changes: 1 Train Bypasses 168th St Subway Station

Here's what patients and visitors need to know about the 1 train service change at 168th Street

January 5, 2019

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology would like to advise patients and visitors that beginning on January 5, 2019, 1 trains will bypass the 168th Street subway station in both directions until early 2020, as the MTA is repairing the elevators that access the 1 train platform at this station. The A and C trains will continue to stop at 168th Street and existing MTA bus routes may be used to get to Columbia University Irving Medical Center and other nearby stops along the 1 line.

If you need assistance to plan your visit to our Washington Heights practice, we encourage you to download the MYmta app, visit mta.info, or call 511 to plan your route. The MYmta app can also help you track buses and trains in real time.
