New Endometriosis Program Coordinates Treatment of Symptoms, Fertility Preservation

A major concern of women who suffer from endometriosis is how the disease and its course of treatment may impact their fertility, whether that is an immediate concern or something they hope to explore in the future. Columbia University Irving Medical Center is launching the Endometriosis Treatment Program to help patients navigate these and other complex issues surrounding endometriosis treatment.

Led by Arnold P. Advincula, MD, chief of gynecologic specialty surgery at CUIMC, and Zev Williams, MD, PhD, chief of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at CUIMC, the program is a collaborative effort between both divisions within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at CUIMC.
