Educational programs offered by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology are designed to prepare physicians for leadership careers in patient care, medical research, and teaching. Our residency and fellowship training programs provide exposure to a wide range of clinical experiences and research opportunities under the direct supervision of expert faculty mentors. We also participate in teaching medical students as part of Columbia's College of Physicians and Surgeons curriculum and offer both required and elective courses. To ensure future success for all of our graduates, we provide comprehensive examinations such as the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and our annual Sloane Olympics events. Our campus also houses the new Roy and Diana Vagelos Education Center, home to the Mary and Michael Jaharis Simulation Center (SIM Center), a major training resource that integrates a standardized patient program, mannequin-based simulations, and procedural skills training. Our programs emphasize inclusive, collaborative approaches to patient care, critical in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
