Ob/Gyn Department celebrates Staff Appreciation Day

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology celebrated their first-ever Staff Appreciation Day on June 15, 2017, intended to honor and celebrate the contributions of the many nursing professionals, health care workers and administrators who contribute their time and talent to the department.

All staff members across the entire department at all practice locations were invited to attend the event, held at Bard Hall on Columbia University Medical Center’s campus. The event included a breakfast, followed by a presentation by Erin Moran of the Union Square Hospitality Group, as well as remarks from Department Administrator Mike McNamara and a video sharing a testimonial from a patient of Mary D’Alton, MD, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

The Department of Ob/Gyn has around 300 staff members who support the life-saving and life-improving patient care provided by the department’s full and part time faculty. Staff members also strengthen the department’s education and research goals, providing essential administrative support necessary to the functioning of the department.
